Our little rocky mountain gem of a magazine, Mountain Flyer Magazine has a good little recap of the event by Darren Denclau. Check it. Also getting in on the scene this month is Bike Magazine. A sweet shop of 2007’s pre-race group shot hits hard, with a nice little write-up below.

We are now accepting singlespeed only videos to be shown throughout the weekend. Two movie nights will showcase the sweetness that we receive. The deadline for the films to be received is June 7th of 2009, so send a scratched dvd or a flawless VHS to Passion Productions 1×1 at 135 E. 13th street, Durango, Colorado 81301. The content of the films can be anything sweetly singlespeed. 7 minutes or under is preferred, but sweetness has no time limit, so keep it real. This will be an audience judged thing and the winner will win something from our future pile of good bike, or beer stuff.

Passion Productions is pleased to announce that we have added the Tour of Durango to our weekend of scheduled events. As of now, the big showdown will take place on Saturday morning with the Hosting Competition to take place that evening. Sunday will now showcase Durangos’ tasty singletrack with the Tour of Durango. The event is a non-competitive ride that encompasses the towns linkable trails with a downtown street party to conclude the day. The dates again for our thingy are August 6-9th.

We sent Doom to see how he could do. We bet he did good. The rest of us missed out big time we bet.
